A minor scale
Tabbed out below is the scale of A minor played from the 5th open string (A).
The arrangement of notes in all minor scales is exactly the same.
For example, A minor contains the following notes:

A     B     C     D     E     F     G     A

Minor Scales always have the following arrangement of notes:

tone     semi-tone     tone     tone     semi-tone     tone     tone

So,
A   -   B  is a tone
 B   -   C  is a semi-tone
 C   -   D  is a tone
and so on...

Most important of all, play through the scale as tabbed below and listen carefully...!

A minor scale  -   ascending
Play slowly through the scale using downstrokes at first.
As your left hand fingering becomes more confident, start to use alternate strokes - downstroke / upstroke.

Practising these scales will really help your all round guitar playing technique.
They will also help with composing your own tunes,  improvising solos & working out songs.
Play slowly and let each note ring (sustain) and sound clearly.
