1. This song is in the key of Abm
2. The chords used are Abm  E  B  F#
3. The intro is based around these chords... which we have used in the Guitar Lessons
4. So to play along with the CD you will need your guitar tuned normally and then play in the key above... Abm
5. However you can play this song using standard Am  F  C  &  G chords in the open position... but for it to sound in key with the CD [if you want to practise playing along] you must tune your guitar strings down by a semi-tone.
6. So   E  A  D  G  B  E becomes  Eb  Ab  Db  Gb  Bb  Eb. 
7. Therefore when you now play the chord of Am it will actually sound Abm;  F  will sound as  E;  C  will sound as  B  and  G  will sound as F#
8. So using the standard open position chords:  Am  /  F  /  C  /  G  /
9. So you have a choice to practise in normal tuning the progression in 8 above or to tune down and practise playing along with the CD

• Play using finger style or plectrum.
• Hold down the chord shape at the start of each riff part.
• Suggested fingering shown but we'll have a look at other possibilities.
• So whether you use normal tuning or tune down you still use the same Am F C & G shapes.
• Practise slowly and sound each note clearly.
• Use the neck pick-up on your guitar with a little overdrive.
