G Minor pentatonic patterns [Grade 3 Rock School]
5 patterns to play... G minor pentatonic... [penta = 5 tonic = note ....... a 5 note scale... it's all Greek!]
The bottom horizontal line = string 6E... and the top line = string 1E
The vertical lines are the frets.
Root notes [in this case G] are shaded.
The patterns start at different frets up the fretboard.
Practise slowly and play each note clearly.
Use downstrokes and then use alternate picking... down followed by an upstroke.
Pay careful attention to the frethand fingering!
