GUITAR TUITION
Barre Chords home page guitar tuition G barre chords at the 3rd fret Barre Chords are played with the index finger of the left hand placed across all 6 strings. This will take a while to get used to but practise will get you there! I'll show you during Guitar lessons how to play this shape so that long term your technique will be fine.
When played at the 3rd fret these chords are "G" (G7 or Gm etc) They are "moveable " so when played at other frets they become different names. So for example G minor played at the 5th fret is A minor. Play the G major shape at the 1st fret and you have F major. C Barre Chords at the 3rd fret
As with the G chords, all these C chords are moveable. The chord name changes as you move along the fretboard. So C minor7 played at the 5th fret is D minor7 and so on. home page guitar tuition |
